Complete Renovation of 1860s Farmhouse and Addition

Anthony Baummer

LT40

Project Description < br /> This is a work in progress, but to date we have built an entire house inside the original 1860s brick structure. Every piece of wood from the subfloor to the true 2"x4" framing has been milled at our saw mill next door to the farmhouse using our Wood Mizer LT40 and the Wood Mizer Edger. Everything has been milled old school style with full 2"x4"s, 3"x10" floor joists, 3"x6" rafters and 1" tounge and groove subfloors. Any wood used in this house will be milled at our sawmill next door, with no exceptions. The interior of the house will be finished with all reclaimed materials that have been de-nailed and milled on the Wood Mizer. The cabinets, doors, floors, wainscoting, and trim will all start from the Wood Mizer.
