Project Description < br /> This is a “Post and Beam” construction on a concrete slab. Great Room, Dining Room and Master Bedroom have open ceilings to the exposed beams and roof decking. There is a partial 2nd floor which included a balcony over the kitchen which looks out on the great room and dining room. All upstairs rooms have ceilings open to the roof deck with exposed structural beams. Exterior is field rocks and Eastern Red Cedar siding installed as “Board and Bat”.

Finished Dimensions
Total area under roof is 3,670, with 2,820 on the 1st floor and 850 on the 2nd floor. Total Heated living space is 3260 with 2500 on the 1st floor and 760 on the 2nd floor. Unheated floor space includes an open porch on the 1st floor and an open balcony on the 2nd

Money Saved
At least $250,000. I could not have built this house without my Wood-Mizer because I could not afford to buy this type of lumber, even if I found a source.
