Project Description
This custom soffit was made from Blue Pine boards 1/2” thick X 9” to 12” wide random lengths. I over lapped the live edges over the edge of the adjacent board, marked along the live edge, jigsawed the line, Then laid the two boards parallel with each other so that I could run a pattern router bit along the live edge of one to duplicate that profile on the other. They were then sanded, torched, and sealed with an outside sealer. They were installed on our front deck ceiling. This was my first time with this procedure
